A great find for those that like good food at reasonable prices. The football is on television here but, not blaring out like some places. Ambient music plays in the background quietly enough to have a conversation without having to raise your voice. Something for almost everyone on the menu. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all a good experience
Was looking forward to fish and chips after so much meat at Christmas only to be disappointed as they didn't have any fish but ordered scampi as an alternative and it was beautiful. Very very busy but the service was excellent and staff cheerful and polite. Well done.
the pub has had a upgrade and based on my last visit I'm happy to say it's very nice for pub grub. I had the skewers and 2 was enough dispite my large appetite. I did order a extra skewer but had to force the last one down. only down side for me is the pool table has gone.
This is one amazing pub that has a fantastic atmosphere. I try to get down at least once a week because they have a fine selection of beers, wines and spirits. I also eat there on a regular basis which also has fantastic and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Highly recommended. A big shout out to Emma and her team of excellent staff who do an excellent job. From a satisfied customer in Nelson.
